GRACE CHURCH ALIGNING VALUES
We live under God's new covenant economy
Knowing God is Christlike, we wholeheartedly reject transactional living and embrace the relationship Christ has freely given us by grace.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”
- Romans 6:14
We live connected to Him
We abide in loving union with Christ through His indwelling life.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” - John 15:4-5
We get our identity in Christ
We believe the truest thing about us is what God says about us.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
We put God on display
We purpose to know Jesus and make Him known because effective ministry is born out of intimacy.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16
We make disciples
We partner with Christ in relational, Jesus-style disciple making.
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” - Matthew 28:18-20
Statement of Faith
We Believe…
We believe all Scripture is God-inspired and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so the people of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. The New Testament tells us God revealed Himself in His most perfect and loving form in the Person of His Son-- Jesus Christ. In John 5:39-40, Jesus Himself states the purpose of the Scriptures is to both produce and facilitate a personal relationship with Him.
God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Creator of the Universe is a God who is Love and who seeks relationship and intimacy with all of humanity, not desiring that any should perish.
Jesus Christ is God’s eternal Son. Born of a virgin, He took the form of man; and through His sinless life and great compassion, He modeled for humanity how to live dependently upon God the Father. He was crucified not only for us, but as us, allowing for the full payment of our sins. He rose from the dead, and now by the Holy Spirit reigns in and through us on the throne of our hearts.
Men and women were created in God’s image, were tempted by Satan, and rebelled against God. Through acknowledging our need of Christ as Savior and by receiving regeneration by the Holy Spirit; we experience forgiveness of sins, are reborn in a new relationship with God, and are placed into the body of Christ.
